I’m 55 years young, born down yonder in South Africa. Being Jewish has been a strong motivating force in my life… Hence my making aliya (immigrating) to Israel at the age of 18.
Today I live in Jerusalem in the Talpiot / Arnona area of Jerusalem.
Here in Israel, I have been blessed to do all that l have ever wanted. A large part of this is to become a photographer. For me, this is a process of becoming. Attending Bezalel School of Art was a stop on this journey. It has not been an easy one, especially from the point of making a living.
I hope that this blog will be a window to show the work I do, whether it be event, institution, or more personal photography. Also to share some of the aspects behind the pictures. Some more examples of my personal work can also be seen at shlomotaitz1.com.
